The fuselage was suspended
between the table and a stack of cinder blocks so that the gear brackets
and gear could be bolted on. The table was removed and N323XL sat on two
of its legs for the first time.

I sat the canopy back on to
get the "Full Monty" on the lines of my bird. All this in four
months time! I need to finish the front deck,
canopy install, turtledeck,
motor mount/nosegear, HS,
and VS in the next month so that the owner
can have his garage back. I went to Clark's
Corvairs and purchased everything I need for a stock 2700cc
conversion. The crank is in the machine shop being magnafluxed, ground
and balanced.

While it was up in the air
I cut and fitted the 1/8" AL belly flap and attached it with a piano
hinge to a large crossmember behind the rear center spar.
