The beginning of my flight
instruments. Someone told me I was dreamin' with the vertical speed indicator.
All the instruments were used, but in great shape including two electric
gyros and the price was right.
I started laying out the
panel in Panel Planner pro. It was hard to get the gauges lined up with
that program. So I measured each gauge and started drawing them in TurboCad
V5. Eventually I will send the CAD file to a waterjet cutter and have
it cut with an accuracy of .003". Good enough for KR work!
The
full size CAD plot of the panel was glued to 3/8" plywood. Mounting
the mock up I found out there are some dimensional changes that need to
be made. This panel was drawn before the fuselage was complete. Basically
everything will have to be moved 1.5 - 2" to the right
and the fresh air vents need
to be raised. Back to the computer.
