Stub Wings

The stub wings are using the new AS5048 airfoil. With this airfoil you need taller spars and it gives you more room for fuel in the wing tanks.

The aluminum fuel tank is installed Along with the outer plywood rib. The electrical connector bracket and aileron belcrank holes have been cut into the rib.

An airfoil plot of the leading edge was printed out with a 1/2" inside offset. This
offset was cut out and attached to two
2 x 4 stringers. Three pieces of Trymer were cut to size and glued together in the form with spray can foam. A few screws needed to be put in to the tips of the form to keep the foam from pushing out.
