The custom landing
gear made by Grove Aircraft
arrived by UPS yesterday, so I put the axles and wheels on it to see what
it would look like.

The 1/4" 4130 for the
landing gear bracket came back from the machine shop that cut and bent
them.

The brackets were welded
up and the holes drilled in the spar. The spar could now be epoxied into
place. After the T-88 set up, I bolted on the brackets to locate the gear,
marked the location, and cut out the plywood skin to get the gear inside
the fuselage. The gear is bolted on through 4 radius blocks because the
gear will flex some. A cover faring will be placed over the outside to
close up the fuselage again.

The gear legs will be sealed
with a flexible silicone adhesive for the part that will need movement
space.
