The Trymer 2000 glued in place
using the spray foam. After letting it cure the clamps were removed and
the front deck was sanded to shape.
The full size CAD plot of
my instrument panel was glued onto a piece of 3/8" plywood to use
as a sanding reference. I had drawn this panel before I started on the
fuselage. Now that is was placed in position I found out that most every
thing has to move 1.5 - 2" to the right. The final width is slightly
smaller than the drawing and the fresh air outlets need to be raised.
The frontdeck was sanded very
quickly. The duct tape was used as a release agent so that the fiberglass
would not be permanently bonded to the fuselage.
