I have been using Trymer 2000 a polyisocyanurate foam after reading about it on Dr. Deans site. Three phone calls and I found a local supplier. Ironically Rich Parker was looking too and said he could not find it. This supplier is two buildings down from Rich's work. Go figure? I am also using the Dow Blue/Gray extruded foam from a local lumber yard. I also found a supplier for the Blue styrofoam buoyancy billets. Great Stuff spray foam work great to glue the blocks of foam together. |

I purchased the remaining stock of urethane foam from Carl Hanson's Estate. He was a prolithic builder here in New Hampshire with five planes in various states of completion. So if it works and I can scrounge it, I will use it.The above picture shows the three foams I am using. The pink stuff is the Trymer. The white sheets are the left over Clark Foam. The 2" blue sheet is the Dow rigid polystyrene. |
