I have to store the fuselage
some place while I scarf the plywood. Table space was at a premium.

The Plywood skins for the
sides are scarfed and glued into 24 x 172" sheets. The bottom skins
are scarfed and glued too. I used a Makita power hand plane to scarf the
plywood. The plywood skins go on with T-88 and a whole lot of staples.
I tried 1/4" long staples and they did not hold after stapling over
the poly twine. I had some 1/2" and they broke the poly twine. So
I had to go get some 3/8" long staples.

I second the motion to use
only USA made staples. I only had 5 that broke a leg that I could not
remove out of approximately 7,000 staples. A pair of nippers works great
to remove them. I did not get pictures of all the staples but, here is
the fuselage with both sides on. I cut openings for the spars and dry
fitted them. I also stuck the canopy back on to get a feel for what this
bird will look like.

The horizontal
and vertical stabilizers were placed in
position. The two main outer spars can
be seen on the table too. Guess what I got to do next? Hit the
next button and find out!
