The front of the fuselage sides were filled in with some Trymer 2000 foam. Inside will eventually get glassed. The large lower crossmember will be where the rudder pedals attach. The vertical member in the center of the firewall will be the attachment point for the nosegear bracket.

The bottom plywood was epoxied on and the hole for the belly flap was cut out. It will get a second layer of plywood so that the flap will recess in to the fuselage.
