The Crank was
ground .010" under. New Clevite 77 main bearings went in. The all
the main and rod bearings were bolted together with Plastigauge then opened
back up. Everything was within specs. So assembly was started with the
case halves, crank, OT-10 cam with a new cam gear. Don't forget to get
the timing marks lined up correctly. All bolts were torqued to specs and
the crank still turns freely. Yippee!!, hurdle one down.

The Cylinders were installed
with copper base gaskets and a small amount of Ultra copper RTV silicone
sealant. I used some 1/2" copper water pipe I had laying around to
be able to bolt the cylinders on and not have them be pushed back out
by the pistons once they are being installed.

Installed this way I don't
have to rush to get the heads on to squish the RTV before it sets up.
The pistons were installed from the top of the cylinders instead of trying
to get the cylinders over the piston and rod assembly from the bottom
of the cylinder.
