Your Rocky Mountain
Micro Encoder should be all together now except for the external chassis.
Get two pieces
of wire long enough to reach your avionics bus and a ground. Strip the
insulation from both ends. Install a D-sub crimp connector on to both
wires.

|
Insert
the Negative wire into stall # 1 of the 9 pin D-sub connector. Insert
the positive into stall # 2. The terminals will click in when they are
seated correctly.
Connect the other ends of
the wire to a 12 volt power supply or battery. Connect the common lead
of your digital multimeter to the test clip marked AGND and the positive
lead to the test clip marked "V" on the display driver board.

Now comes the
moment of truth.
Did you double
check everything during construction?
Yes?
Well switch on
the power!

|
UH OH! No display, Nothing, Nada, Not even some smoke!
