Gluing on the top longeron
doublers on both sides. I also started working on the horizontal
stabilizer in the background.

Cut lots of gusset blocks.
You will need them. I made my own miter box out of a 2 x 4 run through
the table saw. The hand saw is a pull stroke model from Shark Saw. Works
great, I picked it up at Sears.

After laying out the top of
the fuselage on the table and cutting and fitting the spruce. I forgot
about parallax. As the fuselage sides flare outwards the distance between
the uprights gets foreshortened. By the time the sides got to the seat
back the crossmembers were off by 2 inches. Lost 5 hours of work on that
miscalculation. They are in the right place now. I should have output
the top in CAD and they would have been right the first time.
