This is the Edelbrock Quicksilver Carburetor I plan to use. It is made for a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The design makes this carb altitude compensating to 10K feet. They can be found in single and duel configurations, from 34mm to 42mm. The Edelbrock Tech I spoke to said the 34mm flows 312CFM, More than enough for the Corvair at our RPMs. |

This carb is considered a smooth bore in that only the needle is in the airflow at full throttle. To tune the carb for full throttle you change the needle. To tune it for idle mixture there is an access port on the top that you can put a screwdriver into and turn the needle in or out. Idle speed is still the same set screw as most carbs. |
