The panel was painted with
an Ultra Flat Black paint as soon as the chromate primer dried. I re installed
the instruments and monitors I have. A few holes are still to be filled.
A King KX-125 NAV/COMM radio, transponder, directional gyro, fuel gauges,
circuit breaker switches, and CD player. (Someone suggested a DVD player
for the passenger to play with, So what do you think "In-flight Movies
in a KR?"
I would have to find space for a popcorn machine next!

Gyro panels need to be shock
mounted. I looked at the ones in AS&S and WAG Aero at $8 each. Mark
Langford turned me on to these beauties at the local VW parts house, Price?
$2.50 each. They are metric so you will have to find some metric nyloc
nuts to fit. I found some metric acorn nuts for the front of the panel.
Thanks again Mark!

My friend Moe stopped by
and helped me put the engine on the mount. I told him to climb in and
see how he likes it. He made all kinds of airplane noises. This picture
was taken after he had his car fall off the jack and pinned him under
it. Needless to say please put your wheel chocks under the downhill side
of the tire. Thankfully the only thing he hurt was his pride. Moe wants
to see my bird finished before he returns to Egypt.
