The trim tab was cut out with
the rotozip trick with the metal
cutting blade. The foam in the ends of the tab and elevator were dug out
to 1/4"deep, A mix of epoxy and flox was used to fill the spaces.
Two small aluminum tubes from the RC hobby store were incorporated as
the tab's hinge. Make sure that one tube just fits inside the other. A
"V" notch was cut into the nose of the tab. T-88 and flox was
used to glue in the larger aluminum tube. Trymer foam was put on the nose,
sanded, and the nose was covered with a strip of 6 oz glass.

A layer of 1.5 oz was placed
over the whole tab. A hole was drilled in the elevator to fit the smaller
hinge tube. All was floxed in with a washer on each end of the hinge tube
to keep the gaps from binding.
A 1/4 scale model control
horn was floxed and bolted on to the tab. The nyrod was attached to it.
