Corvair Engine 2700cc

My engine was moved out to the garage from the kitchen table. The 3100cc crank and Hub are sitting next to it. I just picked it up from the machine shop. I am using the 2700cc to fit everything and then I will swap engines for the Big Boy. The 2700cc engine will be used in a second project that is on the drawing board.

My friend Moe came by and helped me get the engine bolted to the airframe. I use cinder blocks to support the front of the airframe until I can finish the nosegear. You can see Moe's head sticking up above my instrument panel. He can't wait for the engine to start, that way he can stop making all those airplane noises!!!
