Every new install of an ELT
requires a remote display for it. This one from Ameri-King has a trip
and reset button with a LED to show when the ELT has been activated. It
is also required to be mounted within the pilots line of sight. I mounted
mine in the middle of my flight gauges.

These are my side brackets
to shock mount my panel. I made a pattern out of cardboard, measured all
the dimensions, then drew it up in my CAD program. I mirror copied it
to make the right hand side. Spray adhesive was used to glue the printout
to the aluminum. I have found 3M spray adhesive to be the best, but, very
hard to find. I tried Elmers spray adhesive, it did not work very well.
I have another brand that is acceptable but I don't know the brand right
now.

After the two pieces were
drilled, cut out with a band saw, sanded to shape, and filed smooth. The
template needs to be removed. The best stuff I found is GOO-GONE. I pick
it up at my local Home Depot. The pieces were hit with a coat of zinc
chromate primer. Everything was bolted up and attached to the longerons.
